Description
A dull blade crushes a tomato instead of cutting it and tears herbs into brown edges. This 20 cm slicing knife comes to a 60 degree tip, which is fine enough to start a cut in tomato skin without sliding off it.
The 400-series stainless resists the rust that follows a wet drainer, and at about 150 grams it is light enough for long slicing without your wrist tiring. The length suits a roast, a row of peppers, or citrus for a drink. Hand-wash and dry it, and keep it off frozen food, which rolls a fine edge over.

Hand-wash in warm soapy water and dry it at once. Keep the edge with a honing steel or a whetstone, and store it in a block or on a magnetic strip.
