Description
Crusty sourdough and soft sandwich bread go wrong the same way: you press down, the crust gives all at once, and the crumb collapses under the blade.
This bread knife has a fine-serrated 420 stainless steel blade that catches the crust, so you saw rather than push. At 10" (25 cm), it is long enough to cross a full loaf or a round cake in one stroke, which keeps each slice flat and even.
Use long strokes and a light hand on crusty loaves, sandwich bread and sponge cake. Hand-wash and dry the teeth after use, and cut on wood or plastic rather than glass or stone.

Fine serrations
Each small tooth bites into the crust and starts the cut before any real downward pressure goes in. You draw the blade back and forth and let the serrations do the work, so even a soft loaf keeps its shape. The same edge handles a delicate sponge without tearing it.

Length to cross a loaf
A short blade forces you to cut from both sides and meet in the middle, which leaves a ridge. The 10" (25 cm) length reaches across a full sourdough or a round cake, so one long stroke finishes the slice. The green polypropylene handle gives you a secure hold for that motion.
