Description
Fishing olives out of a jar with a fork drips brine across the counter, and the last few always hide at the bottom where the fork cannot reach.
This strainer jar holds about 25 fl oz (750 ml). A lift-out insert sits inside, so you raise the olives or pickles out of the liquid, take what you need and lower the insert back into the brine.
Fill it with store-bought olives or your own fridge pickles and keep it in the fridge door. It is handy for cheese boards, cocktail garnishes and anyone who reaches for a pickle with lunch.

A lift-out insert
The insert rests inside the jar with the food sitting in the brine. Pull it up and the liquid drains back down through it, leaving olives or pickles ready to take. When you are done, lower it again so everything stays submerged and keeps its flavor.
From fridge to serving board
Set the raised insert on the table for guests to help themselves, then return it to the jar before it goes back in the fridge. Pickled onions, cornichons and peppers work the same way. Use the jar for fridge storage only, not for home canning.
