This adjustable stainless steel slicer lets you set the cutting height first, then guide a level line through sponge or butter cake. Each layer comes out the same thickness, so stacking and frosting feel controlled instead of rushed.

Level layers on purpose

A knife drifts as you work around a cake, and the layer ends up thicker on one side. Here you lock in a height first, then draw the slicer across in a straight line. Every layer matches, so the finished cake stands level under the frosting.
