Description

Tamping needs a firm surface, and the counter beneath it needs protecting from the pressure and the grounds that come with it.

This molded silicone tamper mat gives you a dense pad to press against, with a shaped rest or recess that steadies the portafilter while you level the dose. Stone and wood counters stay free of scuffs from the basket.

It comes in five shapes for different bar layouts: a slim flat mat, a pad with a round tamper well, single-notch and angled pads for tight corners, and a twin-notch mat with a spare cup circle. Choose the footprint that fits the space beside your machine.

Every coffee corner has a different amount of room. The Slim Mat and Round Well measure 8" × 6" (20 × 15 cm), and the Twin Notch is 8" × 5.5" (20 × 14.5 cm). For tighter spots, the Single Notch is 5" × 5.5" (12.5 × 14 cm) and the Angled pad is 6.5" × 4.5" (17 × 11.7 cm).

How do I choose a shape?

Measure the free space beside your machine and compare it with each mat's size. The Single Notch and Angled pads suit tighter spots.

Are the shapes different sizes?

Yes. They range from 5" × 5.5" (12.5 × 14 cm) to 8" × 6" (20 × 15 cm).

Will my portafilter fit?

Each shape has a rest or recess for the portafilter. Check your portafilter's size against the mat dimensions if you have a large one.

How do I clean it?
