Description
Uneven tamping leaves gaps in the coffee puck. Water rushes through the weak spots, and the shot comes out thin, sour, or bitter.
This espresso tamper has a flat aluminum base and a smooth wood handle, so you can press the grounds level and firm before every shot. Rest the portafilter on the counter, set the tamper on the grounds, and push straight down until the bed feels solid.
Choose 51 mm, 53 mm, or 58 mm to match your portafilter basket. At about 3.5" (9 cm) tall, it fits comfortably in the hand for daily home use. Wipe the base after tamping and keep the wood dry.

Technical Specifications
A level press for cleaner shots
When the coffee bed is flat and evenly packed, water moves through all of it at the same rate. The flat base covers the whole basket, so one straight press is enough. A level puck gives you a steady starting point when you adjust grind size or dose.
Match your basket size
A tamper that is too small leaves loose coffee at the edges, while one too large will not fit at all. Measure the inside of your basket or check your machine guide, then choose 51 mm, 53 mm, or 58 mm. Each order is one tamper.
