Stainless Steel Slicing Knife · 8" (20 cm)
A 400-series stainless steel slicing knife with a fine 60° tip, light enough at about 5.3 oz for long slicing sessions.
- 400-series steel
- Fine 60° tip
- 8" blade
- Hand-wash
- 011 × Stainless slicing knife
Description
A dull blade crushes a tomato instead of cutting it and tears herbs into bruised edges.
This 8" (20 cm) slicing knife comes to a 60° tip, fine enough to start a cut in tomato skin without sliding off. The blade is 400-series stainless steel, which resists the rust spots that follow a wet dish rack, and at about 5.3 oz (150 g) it stays light through long slicing jobs.
The length suits a roast, a row of peppers or citrus for drinks. Hand-wash and dry it after use, and keep it away from frozen food, which can roll a fine edge over.

A fine, sharp tip
The 60° tip is narrow enough to pierce tomato skin, pepper walls and citrus peel at the first touch instead of skating across them. Once the cut has started, the long edge carries through in a smooth draw, so slices come out even rather than crushed.

Light, low-upkeep steel
At about 5.3 oz (150 g), the knife is easy on the wrist when you are slicing a whole roast or a tray of vegetables. The 400-series stainless steel resists corrosion and needs no special oils, only washing and drying after each use.
