Description

Cutting a handful of herbs or one scallion rarely seems worth washing a full cutting board and knife afterward.

On these scissors, the lower arm is the board. Hold the food against it, squeeze, and the stainless blade cuts down onto that flat surface so the pieces drop where you want them, whether that is the pan, a salad, or a plate. At 9.5" (24 cm), they are long enough to reach over a skillet.

The grips are shaped to sit the same way in either hand, and a latch locks the blade closed so the scissors store flat in a drawer. They are made for soft foods such as herbs, cucumber, fruit, and soft cheese.

The lower arm is the board

Regular scissors pinch food between two blades, which can squash soft things like tomato or mozzarella. Here the top blade presses against a flat arm instead, more like a knife meeting a board. You get cleaner pieces of chives, cilantro, or cucumber, and nothing extra to wash afterward.
