Why the set
Hold the loaf steady
Wudy Kitchen
A foldable slotted guide that holds your loaf steady for even slices with a bread knife, then folds flat to store.
Slicing a homemade loaf by eye usually ends with a thick heel, a thin middle and a crumb squashed flat by the knife. Bread that is still soft inside makes it harder.
This foldable guide holds the loaf between slotted sides, so the serrated knife follows the same path on every stroke. You get matching slices, thin for sandwiches or thicker for toast, and when you are done the frame folds flat.
It suits regular homemade and bakery loaves with a fairly square shape. Set the bread in the cradle, saw gently through the slots and keep the guide in a drawer between bakes.
Use with a serrated bread knife. Wipe the guide after use, dry it fully and fold it flat for storage. Do not soak it.

Why the set
Why the set
It is made for regular homemade and bakery loaves rather than tall sandwich-pan loaves. A very wide sourdough will hang over the cradle.
A squarer loaf works better. A baguette tends to roll in the cradle instead of staying still.

Yes. It folds flat, so it can live in a drawer instead of on the counter.
