Why the set
A level puck for an even shot
Wudy Kitchen
An aluminum espresso tamper with a flat base that presses a firm, level puck in standard 58 mm portafilters.
A tilted or loose puck lets water rush through the low spots, so the shot runs unevenly and tastes thin even with good beans.
This aluminum tamper has a flat 58 mm base that presses a firm, level bed of coffee in standard 58 mm baskets. Rest the portafilter on a tamping mat, press straight down, then give a light twist to polish the surface before you lock it in.
It is a core tool for any machine that takes a 58 mm portafilter. Measure your basket first, since some machines use 51 to 54 mm instead.
Wipe the base clean and keep it dry after use. Avoid dropping it on hard floors, since a nicked edge will not tamp evenly.

Why the set
Why the set
Only if your basket is 58 mm. Measure the inside of the basket rather than relying on the machine's name.
Firm and level matters more than force. Aim for the same pressure every time.
Flat, the common standard for an even coffee bed.
