Wudy Kitchen
A Damascus-pattern steel cleaver with a wide blade and a polished wooden handle, in a presentation box.
Narrow knives take several passes through a cabbage or a pile of herbs, then leave you chasing pieces across the board. A wide blade moves through vegetables and meat in fewer strokes.
This Damascus-pattern cleaver gives you about 8" (20 cm) of cutting face and a polished wooden handle, so chops land flat and you can scoop the board clear with the side of the blade.
It arrives in a presentation box, which makes it an easy gift and keeps the edge covered in a drawer. Hand-wash and dry it straight away, keep it off bone, and sharpen it on a whetstone rather than a pull-through sharpener.
Hand-wash and dry immediately, and keep it out of the dishwasher. Lightly oil the blade before long storage. Sharpen on a whetstone as needed.
