Description
When water from the shower screen finds one soft spot in the coffee bed, it rushes through there and the shot turns thin and bitter at the edges.
This 0.2 mm stainless steel puck screen sits on top of the tamped coffee and spreads the incoming water more evenly across the bed. It also keeps grounds off the shower screen, so the group head stays cleaner between shots.
Choose 51 mm, 53 mm, or 58.5 mm to match your basket. A puck screen supports good prep but does not replace it; dose, grind, and distribution still shape the shot. Rinse it after every use.

Which size should I buy?
Match the inner diameter of your basket. 58 mm machines usually take the 58.5 mm screen; 51 mm and 53 mm baskets take the matching size.
Will it fix a bad grind?
No. It helps the coffee wet evenly, but dose, grind, and distribution still decide the shot.
How often should I clean it?
Rinse it after every shot and soak it in espresso cleaner when the mesh darkens.
Do I need to change my dose?
The screen takes up a little headroom, so if it presses into the shower screen, reduce your dose slightly.
