Why the set
A tray that slides out below
Wudy Kitchen
A bamboo cutting board with a slide-out tray underneath, so you can chop, collect and move ingredients in one go.
Chopping and then transferring usually means scraping the counter or balancing a pile on the blade. This bamboo board has a tray that slides out from underneath, so you cut, pull the tray, and tip everything into the pan in one motion.
At about 13" (33 cm), the board takes a full run of vegetables without crowding, and the tray catches trimmings or holds chopped ingredients until you need them.
It suits busy weeknight cooking where the board and the pan are a few steps apart. Hand-wash the board and the tray, dry both fully, and work a little oil into the bamboo when it starts to look pale.
Hand-wash the board and tray, then dry both fully. Oil the bamboo now and then. Keep it out of the dishwasher.
