Why the set
Solid, weighted wall
Wudy Kitchen
A salad bowl turned from solid acacia and left uncoated, so the dark and honey-toned grain shows right through.
A thin wooden bowl goes light and hollow-feeling, and it can split along the grain after a few washes.
This bowl is turned from solid acacia, so the wall has real weight and the bowl sits still while you toss a salad. It is about 2.5" (6 cm) deep: shallow enough to reach in and toss, deep enough to keep dressing from going over the side.
The grain runs dark through pale honey, so no two bowls look alike. It is left uncoated, with no finish to chip or wear through. Hand-wash it with mild soap, dry it standing up, and oil it when the wood starts to look dry.
Hand-wash with mild soap and warm water and dry right away, standing up. Do not soak it or put it in the dishwasher. Rub in food-safe mineral oil about once a month or when the wood looks dry.
