Lift and drain in one move
Wudy Kitchen
A perforated stainless steel colander spoon with a wooden handle that scoops and drains pasta or dumplings in the pot.
Fishing pasta out of a boiling pot with a flat spoon sends water everywhere and leaves half the noodles behind. Hauling the whole pot to a colander in the sink is not always worth it for one portion.
This colander spoon scoops a full serving and drains it through a perforated stainless steel bowl, so the water falls straight back into the pot. Use it for pasta, noodles, dumplings, blanched vegetables, or fried food you want out of hot oil quickly.
At about 12.5" (32 cm) long, it keeps your hand back from the steam. The wooden handle gives a steady grip, and a hole at the end lets it hang to dry. Rinse it after use and dry the wood well.
Rinse the stainless bowl after use. Hand-wash the wooden handle, dry it well, and do not soak it. Hang it by the hole to store.
