Why the set
Two faces for two kinds of prep
Wudy Kitchen
A stainless steel board with a smooth side for meat, a textured side for vegetables and a sharpener set into the edge.
Using one board for raw meat and then vegetables means washing it mid-prep or letting the two meet. This stainless steel board has two working faces, smooth on one side for meat and textured on the other for vegetables, so you flip it instead of stopping to wash.
A sharpener slot is set into the edge, which lets you touch up a knife that has started to drag without fetching a stone. Grinding teeth in the surface hold food steady while you work one-handed, and a non-slip rim keeps the board in place.
It comes in a frosted or plaid finish and suits a small kitchen where one board has to do several jobs.
Wash both faces in warm soapy water and dry right away to prevent water spots. Hand-washing is recommended. Press ginger or garlic onto the grinding teeth and twist to grate.

Hand-washing is recommended. Wash it in warm water with mild soap and dry it right away to prevent water spots.
Use the smooth side for raw meat and the textured side for vegetables. Rinse the board when you switch between raw and cooked foods.
Draw the knife through the slot toward you in one smooth motion at a consistent angle. Three to five pulls are usually enough for a touch-up.
Steel is harder than wood or plastic, so heavy chopping wears an edge a little faster. The built-in sharpener lets you touch it up as you go.
They hold food steady while you cut, and you can press and twist fresh ginger or garlic on them to grate it.
