Why the set
A groove that catches juice
Wudy Kitchen
A solid wood cutting board with a juice groove to catch runoff and a handle set into the top edge.
A board that stays wet is the one that warps and starts to smell, and juice running off the edge leaves the counter sticky after every roast.
This solid wood board has a juice groove cut around the face, so liquid from tomatoes, citrus, and carved meat collects in the channel instead of spilling. It is one solid piece rather than glued strips, so there are no seams to open up.
A handle set into the top edge makes it easy to lift and carry to the pan. Choose small at 15" × 9.5" (38 × 24 cm) or large at 16" × 10.5" (40 × 27 cm), both 1" (2.5 cm) thick.
Hand-wash with warm water and mild soap, and dry it right away. Stand it on edge to air out. Oil it monthly with food-grade mineral oil, and never soak it or put it in the dishwasher.
