Why the set
Forged blades with settled balance
Wudy Kitchen
A six-piece forged set with a chef knife, carving knife, cleaver, paring knife, kitchen shears, and a peeler.
A block of ten knives usually means four you use and six you shuffle around. This set has six pieces, and every one gets used in a normal week: a chef knife, a carving knife, a cleaver, a paring knife, kitchen shears and a peeler.
The knife blades are forged rather than stamped, so the steel is denser at the spine and the balance sits behind the edge instead of out at the tip. Handles match across the set, which means your grip does not have to adjust when you switch tools.
Hand-wash and dry each piece right after use.
Hand-wash each piece and dry it before storing. Keep blades from knocking against each other. Hone the knives you use most, sharpen them on a stone when needed, and rinse the shears and peeler promptly.
