Why the set
Made for joints and backbone
Wudy Kitchen
Stainless steel poultry shears that cut through joints and come apart into two halves for thorough cleaning.
Ordinary kitchen scissors slip on chicken joints, and a chef's knife is awkward to steer into tight spots around the backbone.
These stainless steel poultry shears give you the blade strength and leverage to cut through joints and along the backbone cleanly. One edge is lightly serrated to hold slippery skin in place. When you are done, the two halves come apart, so you can wash every surface, including the pivot.
They make home butchery simpler, whether you are spatchcocking a chicken, portioning thighs or breaking down a whole bird. At about 9.5" (24 cm), they give plenty of reach.
Take apart and hand wash after cutting raw poultry, then dry both halves fully. Lock them closed for storage. Oil the pivot occasionally if the motion feels dry.
