Why the set
Teeth that cut, not tear
Wudy Kitchen
A fine rasp zester with photo-etched stainless steel teeth for citrus zest, hard cheese, ginger and nutmeg.
A box grater tears citrus peel and turns hard cheese into gummy clumps. What you want is a light, fine shred that melts into pasta, salads and drinks without any bitter pith.
This rasp has photo-etched stainless steel teeth that slice rather than tear. Run lemon, Parmesan, ginger, garlic, nutmeg or chocolate across it and you get a soft, fluffy pile. Keep a light touch on citrus to take only the colored zest.
At about 8.5" (21 cm) long, it fits easily over a bowl or plate. The teeth are very sharp, so keep the guard on when you store it.
Rinse or brush clean, then dry fully to limit rust. Hand washing keeps the teeth sharp longer. Keep the guard on when stored.
