Why the set
Shreds without the knife marathon
Wudy Kitchen
A handheld slicer with a fixed blade that shreds cabbage and firm vegetables into even strands for slaw and stir-fries.
Shredding a whole cabbage with a chef knife is slow, and the strands come out uneven when you just want a bowl of coleslaw or a base for stir-fry.
This handheld slicer has a fixed blade set across its molded face. Draw a cabbage half or other firm vegetable across it and the shreds come out more even, filling the bowl faster with less strain on your wrist.
It is meant for cabbage and firm salad vegetables of a similar density. Work over a stable board, hold the produce firmly and let the cabbage half act as your handle so your fingers stay clear of the blade.
Rinse after use and dry fully. Hand-wash to protect the edge. Store with the blade covered, and keep fingers clear of the blade path.
