Solid wood body
Wudy Kitchen
A solid wood spice mill with an adjustable stainless steel mechanism, in six heights for dry peppercorns or coarse salt.
Freshly ground pepper changes a plate, but a stuck plastic mill makes it a chore. This classic mill pairs a solid wood body with a stainless steel grinding mechanism, and a twist of the adjustment gives you a coarse grind for steak or a finer one for the table.
Six heights run from 4" (10 cm) to 16" (41 cm), so a short mill can live by the stove and a tall one on the dining table without looking mismatched.
Fill it with dry peppercorns or coarse salt. Many cooks keep one mill for each. Wipe the wood instead of washing it, and brush out the mechanism when you change what is inside.
Wipe the wood with a dry cloth. Fill with dry peppercorns or coarse salt only. Empty and brush the mechanism if it clogs.
