Why the set
Even leverage at the rim
Wudy Kitchen
A thin, flat stainless steel wedge that levers baskets out of common 51, 54, and 58 mm portafilters.
A basket that will not come out of the portafilter turns a quick backflush or deep clean into a struggle. Prying with a spoon handle or butter knife slips, scratches the steel, and can bend the basket rim.
This stainless steel tool is a thin, flat wedge that slides under the basket rim and gives you even leverage, so the basket eases free instead of being forced from one point. Work gently around the rim until it lifts.
It is a cleaning and service tool for your espresso station, not a dosing or tamping accessory. Keep it with your brushes and cleaning tablets.
Rinse off coffee oils after use and dry fully. Use it only on metal baskets and portafilters, not as a pry bar on plastic machine parts.

Why the set
Why the set
It slides under the basket rim, so it works with the 51, 54, and 58 mm portafilters most home machines use.
Lever gently and work around the rim instead of prying from one point. A bent basket seals poorly afterward.
A spoon slips and scores the basket. This tool is thin enough to get under the rim and flat enough to spread the load.
Keep it to metal baskets and portafilters. Do not use it as a pry bar on plastic parts.
