Why the Sakura set
Loose-leaf tea, without the juggling.
Brew above, pour below.
Wudy Kitchen
Brew above. Pour below. Never over-steep again.
Brewer, stand, pitcher + 4 cups
Brew above, pour below. A cherry blossom tea ritual that runs itself.
Making loose-leaf tea for friends usually means juggling a pot, a strainer and a timer. Here the brewing bowl sits on a curved stand above its own glass pitcher. Add leaves and hot water, wait, then lower the bowl onto the pitcher: the magnetic valve opens and the tea drains through, leaving the leaves behind.
A white cherry-blossom tree is printed on both the bowl and the pitcher, so the set looks as calm as it feels to use.
Not included: tea tray, tea towel and tools shown in some photos.
Let the glass cool before washing and rinse with warm water. Avoid pouring cold water into a hot pot or setting it down on a cold, wet surface straight from the heat. Hand wash for the longest life. Rinse the valve under running water after each use so it keeps sealing cleanly.
Hand wash in warm water and let the glass cool before rinsing. Avoid sudden temperature shocks, such as cold water into a hot pot. Rinse the valve under running water after each use.
