Description

When a basket is tired or does not quite fit, the shot sprays, channels and drains unevenly, and it is easy to blame the grinder for a problem in the basket.

These stainless espresso filter baskets replace a worn one so your portafilter doses and drains the way your machine expects. Choose 51, 54 or 58 mm, then pick a single, double or larger 4-cup basket. Pressurized versions are offered in 51 and 58 mm.

If you use a simpler grinder, a pressurized basket helps you pull a fuller shot. With a capable grinder and a steady tamp, a non-pressurized basket gives you more control. Seat it fully, dose to your usual level and rinse it after each session.

Materials & Care
Stainless steel, with a perforated floor that lets the shot drain into the portafilter spout. Rinse it after each session and soak it occasionally to clear coffee oils from the holes. Handle the rim with care so it keeps its shape.
Shipping & Returns
Complimentary standard shipping to the United States and United Kingdom, with no minimum spend. Orders are prepared within 1–3 business days. US delivery is typically 5–10 business days after dispatch, UK 6–10 business days.

Match machine and dose

The cup size sets how deep the coffee bed sits in the basket. A single suits a smaller dose and a double a fuller one, while the 4-cup basket in 51 mm takes more coffee again. Pick the size your recipes use so your grind can extract evenly from top to bottom.

Pressurized when you need help

Pressurized when you need help

Blade grinders and coarser setups let water run through too quickly. A pressurized basket adds flow resistance, so the shot still has some body. A non-pressurized basket needs a finer, more even grind, and in return it lets you taste the difference when you adjust it.
