Loose tea leaves, coffee grounds and bits of stock vegetables slip through a regular colander, and a flimsy strainer sags as soon as it gets heavy.

This stainless steel fine mesh strainer has a 100-mesh weave that catches small particles as you pour juice, strain stock or rinse grains into a bowl. Hold it over a cup, pot or bowl and pour straight through.

Choose the 4.5" (12 cm) size for mugs and small bowls, or the 5.5" (14 cm) size for wider pots and larger rinses. It suits tea drinkers, home cooks and anyone tired of grit in the bottom of the glass.

Fine enough for tea and coffee

A 100-mesh weave has small openings that stop tea leaves and coffee fines from reaching the cup. That means you can use loose-leaf tea or a French press without a disposable paper filter. Pour slowly so the liquid has time to pass through the mesh.
